Editorial and Corrections Policy

Trust depends on being clear about how material is selected, checked, attributed, funded and corrected.

Editorial independence

Subjects are selected for their relevance, artistic strength and capacity to add useful knowledge. Previous gallery relationships, personal connections or future commercial opportunities do not create an entitlement to coverage.

Evidence and interpretation

Environmental claims should be specific, proportionate and supported where possible. Articles distinguish reported fact, attributed first-hand experience, informed interpretation and opinion. Uncertainty and limitations are included when they are material to understanding a claim.

Authorship and rights

Articles identify their authors and publication dates. Third-party work is published only where the necessary permission or licence is in place. Substantive revisions to previously published work will be described appropriately.

Commercial relationships

Sponsored material, affiliate relationships, paid resources and other commercial arrangements will be labelled clearly. Payment will not purchase independent editorial selection or an Artist Spotlight.

Corrections

Readers may report a possible error through the contact page. Material errors will be reviewed promptly and corrected transparently. Minor typographical changes may be made without a correction note where they do not alter meaning.

Artist applications

Applications are considered against the published selection criteria. Applying does not guarantee a response or inclusion. Information supplied through an application is used for editorial assessment and is not published without further contact.
